Gary is the owner of Hamilton Financial Associates, Inc. which he formed in 2009. Hamilton Financial provides tax and bookkeeping/payroll services along with wealth management. He has 42 years of varied experience but his main focus is Investment Management and Taxes.


Gary received a B.S. in Accounting from Florida State University and became a CPA in 1979. Before opening his own firm, he served on the Audit staff of KPMG, an international CPA firm, then worked as Controller for First National Bank of Atlanta, and has been CFO and Owner of several private companies and nonprofit organizations.

Gary is happily married to Mary Hamilton, has two grown children and three grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with friends, reading and working. He is a member and deacon at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Durham.
